In the past few days harvest fruits of about 70 pepper varieties, 15 eggplant, 50 melon, 10 squash, and another 40 varieties of tomatoes from Kanab. Nearly 90% mortality of tomato plants at the Kanab plot due to Curly Top Virus (see blog). Fortunately, we'll have seeds from about 200 tomato varieties growing in the Salt Lake Valley. More than 100 of these varieties produced their first ripe tomato after September 20th., with another 70 or so varieties yet to produce a ripe fruit. Other types to follow soon.
