Delectation of Tomatoes, etc. is a micro-farming endeavor established in February, 2011 and physically located in West Valley City, Utah, USA.  Our major objectives include:

• Enhance physical and psychological health
• Facilitate appreciation for and enjoyment of the best (healthiest, tastiest) food the earth has to offer,
with an emphasis on the amazing, versatile, nutritious, domesticated Tomato, Solanum lycopersicum
    (or Lycopersicon esculentum, depending upon which authority one chooses to follow).  
• Promote ecologically responsible and sustainable food growing practices
• Encourage self-reliance and independence from the “System” for nutritional needs.

DELECTATION OF TOMATOES, etc. will be hosting two tomato tasting events in 2012:

Saturday, August 25 from 1:00-3:00 p.m.
Saturday, October 13 from 1:00-3:00 p.m.

These events are open to the public. You will have a chance to contribute to an ongoing study to find some of the best tasting tomatoes from around the world. Admission is just $5 for adults, no charge for kids under 18. Please bring your appetite as well!

We are raising about 1,100 varieties of garden fruits and vegetables this year, half of these are heirloom tomatoes! We've obtained many of the most highly regarded varieties from around the world, with more than 30 countries represented. This is your chance to try some of the biggest, best, most flavorful, and most unusual tomato varieties in the world. Fall produce (pumpkins, winter squash, etc.) will be available at the October event as well. To view last year's results and to find more information, please visit www.delectationoftomatoes.com.
